Turbo's Visit to Armstrong
[caption id="attachment_1933" align="aligncenter" width="300"] July 9th - Turbo had the chance to visit Armstrong![/caption]
On July 8th, the Turbo team took a flight cross country from California and landed in Philadelphia, PA. The goal? We were gearing up for a visit and training session with one of the leaders in the design, manufacturing and marketing of flooring and ceiling products - Armstrong. Armstrong is a worldwide flooring and ceiling company based out of Lancaster, PA. We were very excited about this trip. A chance to work with a flooring designer/manufacturer - as a company that makes tools for those floors - is a great opportunity.
Before making the trip to Lancaster, we had a very important task ahead of us: Philly Cheesesteaks. They did not disappoint.
When it was finally time on the morning of July 9th, we made a visit to the Armstrong team in Lancaster, PA. The whole Turbo team was in awe when we saw how gorgeous and extensive the Armstrong HQ was. The great weather only helped considering the day before it was pouring rain. Really impressive stuff.
After a brief tour of the place, it was finally time to get to work. Leo Martinez and the rest of us gave the Armstrong team an extensive look at all of our tools, how they worked, and a hands-on training session on how to use them. Specifically, we had the opportunity to really demonstrate the Chiquita and its versatility and capabilities. During Surfaces, people only had time to see quick demos - this session allowed us to really dive into the product and how great it is.
The cool part of this was that Armstrong provided us with samples of new floors that had issues being welded. Using those samples, Leo Martinez and the team made adjustments to our tools for optimal results on that specific type of flooring. That’s the beauty of working with Armstrong. Our tools improve and installers get better results and clearer instructions. That’s always our goal with Turbo.

The training and presentation lasted the entire day. As exhausting as it was, it was also really fun in getting to know the Armstrong team and walking around the HQ. The cafeteria’s food was also delicious! The Turbo team had a great time with Armstrong and it’s something we’d love to do again.
