Turbo Marmo Groover Set

The Turbo Marmo Groover Set is a precision two-pass system built for Marmoleum®, natural linoleum, and both homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl sheet flooring. It delivers clean, accurate seams without the feel-based method required by traditional push groovers, making it the go-to choice for installers who work with both vinyl and linoleum—or those stepping into linoleum installation work for the first time.

A Two-Pass System That Eliminates Guesswork

The Turbo Marmo Groover’s two-pass system eliminates depth errors because each groover serves a specific purpose—one guides the cut, the other finishes it to full weld depth for consistent, high-strength seams every time.

First Pass – Guide Cut (50% depth, centered track): establishes an easily controlled seam line with minimal resistance.
Second Pass – Finish Cut (full weld depth): deepens cleanly to the jute backing (linoleum) or wear layer (vinyl) without tearing or gouging.

Traditional push groovers depend on feel to control depth. Even experienced installers struggle with this—cut too shallow and the weld is weak, cut too deep and you damage the wear layer or jute backing. Staying consistent from start to finish takes constant pressure control and focus that gets harder the longer the run. That inconsistency leads to wasted material, wasted time, and lost money.

The Turbo Marmo Groover fixes that. The first-pass groover creates a centered guide track on straight lines or curves (ideal for templates, circles, and custom inlays). The second-pass groover safely takes the seam to full bonding depth. By separating the guiding cut from the finishing cut, even newer installers can groove accurately to the jute backing on linoleum—without relying on instinct or muscle memory.

Blade Selection

• For linoleum & Marmoleum: use both Marmo blades—the 1st-pass blade sets the track; the 2nd-pass blade finishes cleanly to the jute backing for full weld depth.
• For vinyl flooring: only the 1st-pass groover is needed, and it can be fitted with any Turbo blade size to match weld rod width.

Ahead of the Curve, Even on Curves

Electric groovers may have set the standard decades ago, but they’ve always been slow and offer limited seam control. They take around five minutes to groove 20 feet and only work in straight runs—no curves, circles, or custom inlays. The Turbo Marmo Groover completes that same distance in about two minutes—often faster—because it cuts as quickly as the installer can handle, while tracking precisely on radius work and patterned layouts.

Despite their mechanically set depths, electric groovers still force shallow cuts over concrete subfloors to avoid bottoming out and destroying carbide blades that can cost hundreds of dollars to replace. Those shallow grooves prevent full weld penetration, weakening the seam and leading to failure under traffic.
